AIC Programme in Action: Connecting UTAR Students with UNIQLO Malaysia

As part of Talent Houz's Academia-Industry Collaboration (AIC) Programme, Talent Houz recently partnered with UNIQLO Malaysia and UTAR to organise an engaging Career Sharing Session, providing students with valuable industry exposure and practical insights into today's workplace.

The session began with opening remarks by Mr. Oscar Low, CEO of Talent Houz, who introduced the AIC Programme and shared how Talent Houz is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry through meaningful collaborations with universities and employers. Through initiatives like this, students are given opportunities to gain first-hand exposure to industry expectations and build the confidence needed to transition into the workforce.

   

Representatives from UNIQLO Malaysia then shared their career journeys, workplace culture, leadership values, and introduced students to the UNIQLO Management Candidate (UMC) Programme, offering valuable insights into career opportunities and professional growth within the organisation.

Adding to the excitement, students participated in the UNIQLO Mix & Match Styling Challenge, where teams worked together to create workplace-ready outfits before presenting their ideas. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, communication, and confidence while reinforcing the importance of professional presentation in the workplace.

The event concluded with a networking session, allowing students to engage directly with the UNIQLO team, ask career-related questions, and gain practical advice from industry professionals.
