Job Responsibilities:
- Stationed onsite for support services
- Perform administration, maintenance and troubleshooting support of IBM Power Machines, SAN Switches, Tape Libraries and Storages (revolves mainly around IBM iSeries/Power and AS400 Platform but is not limited to)
- Identify errors, technical problems and determine proper solutions while providing exceptional service and customer support (revolves mainly around IBM iSeries/Power and AS400 Platform but is not limited to)
- Report and interface with senior management and customer
- Communicate and coordinate proficiently with customer requirements
- Provide long-term process/service improvement measures and plans
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in related field
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and odd hours
- Positive work attitude, work on minimum supervision and active team player
- Good coordination skills and self-starter
- Willingness to learn& acquire new approaches, skills and constantly update knowledge in their area of expertise
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work with sense of urgency
- Effectively communicates with teammates and managers
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good vision of situations and ability to size them up appropriately
- Operations Management (e.g. change management, problem management, incident management and etc)
- Customer Engagement (customer focused and can handle customer effectively. Also very resourceful and possess a strong initiative)
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of IBM technologies such as HA clustering, LPAR/PowerVM, HMC VIO and
- Operating Systems (AIX, AS400) Commodity Server Hardware (eg Rackmounts, Blade and Enclosures)
- Virtualization Technology (PowerVM) Storage Arrays (HP 3PAR, HP MSA, IBM Storwize, IBM DS, NetApp)
- San Switches (Brocade, MDS)
- IBM Power/AIX Certification/ Training preferred
- Clustering Product Certification or Training preferred
- Storage, Backup and Middleware training or certification preferred
